Nidhi Krishna

Dramaturg

Been active in the theatre since

Oct 1, 2019

I am a dramaturg and playwright currently based in London, looking to work with new writing back home that is fearless, sincere, curious, and full of heart. I graduated with an MA in Dramaturgy and Writing for Performance from Goldsmiths, University of London, and have a BA in English Honours from St Stephen's College Delhi. My plays - 'Cut My Heart Out, Delhi' (original) and 'Man Equals Man' (adaptation) - have been staged as work-in-progress extracts at the Soho Theatre and the Omnibus Theatre in London respectively, and my first play, written during my undergraduate studies - 'You Are Your Own Voyeur' - won the second prize and award for Best Original Script at St Stephen's College's intercollegiate one-act play festival - 'Rajpal' - in 2020.
I like experimenting with multimedia, music, dance, and verse in theatre. My dramaturgical framework is rooted in feminist and socialist politics, and I advocate for non-hierarchical and collaborative approaches to the creative process.
